Ahmed developed his love and passion for yoga while reconnecting to his roots on a trip to Cairo, Egypt. It was the challenging physical practice that first attracted him to yoga; yet it was amidst the noise and chaos of Cairo where Ahmed fell in love with yoga as each guiding breath helped center him and calm his mind.
Living an active lifestyle has resulted in some nagging injuries such as tennis elbow and an inflamed Achilles tendon. Ahmed discovered that his yoga practice doubled as physical therapy and helped speed his recovery. The flexibility and strength gains helped reduce injuries as he worked sports back into his daily life.
In Ahmed’s Yin Yoga class you will increase your range of motion, calm your mind and heal your body, as you balance out your active yang pursuits. In his Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga classes, you will build strength, improve your balance, focus and flexibility while having a few laughs along the way. Ahmed’s classes are open to beginners, athletes, executives and anyone who is curious about yoga.

As a native of Santa Monica, California, I grew up in a large family just a mile from the beach. In a household of 9 brothers and sisters, I strived to find balance amidst all the chaos of living so closely with so many people under one roof. At the age of 18, I discovered the practice of yoga and immediately connected to the serenity and peacefulness of the practice. Through synchronicity of breath and flow movement in the vinyassa style, I found a deep sense of peace and freedom to express my unique individuality. My mission as a teacher is to help every type of person harness his or her own strength and unique ability. The focus of my lessons is to find levity and joy while staying grounded and aligned. My teaching style incorporates music, advanced stretching, and a sensitivity to students of all levels. By using sequences of traditional Sun Salutations combined with standing postures and engaging of breath in sync with movement, I will challenge students to flow to their edge and always modify to how they feel on that particular day. I am happy to check in and make personal adjustments to ensure that each student has the best possible experience in their own practice.
