Our Team

Denise Antoine

Denise is a native born L.A. based yoga teacher specializing in bringing Yoga & Dance to adults & kids.  With over two decades of focused ballet & modern dance study and performance, and a love for making yoga accessible to everyone, it is no surprise that Denise's classes are a blend of wellness, fitness, healing and creativity (yes, all in one class!). She is a big advocate of living a life full of purpose and supporting others in finding the light within them.
Denise often takes her yoga off her mat and into the community.  She has dedicated years in service, on staff and as a volunteer at numerous organizations, working with marginalized communities, women in recovery from various traumas, including working in the sex industry, victims of human trafficking and many other people in need.

So, what does yoga mean to Denise?  "I believe yoga is a conversation. Ask yourself, where can I heal? How can I expand in my capacity to love? How can I serve others? Start there...the yoga will do the rest."

Denise received her Holistic Yoga Flow training with Travis Eliot and Lauren Eckstrom

Heather Archer

Heather is a native Californian; growing up in Manhattan Beach, she was always active as a child with dance, volleyball, swimming, and those monthly family surf trips.  Camping up and down the coast, she was most comfortable in these natural settings, just going with the flow.  Her parents encouraged her free spirit.  After college, she pursued a creative career in the fashion industry.  In 2006, after 4-years at the helm, she found herself yearning to get back to her roots and gain an outlet from her fast pace life. That's when a friend suggested yoga.
After a year of yoga practice, Heather once again found her flow. The positive physical, mental, and spiritual effects of her practice lead her to becoming a teacher. The gift of self awareness that her teachers shared is the most vital aspect of her yoga journey, and the most cherished.  In 2007, Heather became a certified teacher through the Mukti Teacher Training School with Julie Rader.  The practice of yoga transformed Heather's life and allowed her to achieve her goals of balance, strength, and tranquility (no seriously, she's really cool.)
Heather uses the asanas (poses) to support mental, spiritual, and emotional peace, as well as physical strength. Heather's goal is to help lead her students down their path of personal growth (physically, mentally, and spiritually), strength and understanding.

Dana Byerlee

I believe yoga is for everyone- no matter your age, where you're from, or what you and your body have been through. Through asana, intention, meditation, and breathwork, I aim to bring a unique sense of empowerment and healing to all my classes. I teach in a way that provokes thought and meaning, interweaving stories, sanskrit, poetry, and philosophy. A cancer survivor myself, I've also studied yoga for self-regulation and trauma, and pranayama techniques from the lineage of Baba Hari Dass. I am especially passionate about teaching gentle, yin, and restorative yoga, and yoga nidra, as these practices are critical for repair and rejuvenation on both the cellular and emotional levels.

My intention is to help each student uncover their unique patterns of mind and body to build a balance of flexibility and strength for a steady, sweaty and sweet practice. Off the mat, I enjoy slow mornings by the sea sipping my Americano, savoring sunsets, trail running, talking to people in person, good music and spontaneous dance parties.

Marielle Ebersol

Marielle Ebersol, 200 RYT, is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor based in Venice, California. She has been practicing  yoga for the last 6 years and it has become an integral part of her life. She challenged herself over two years ago to get on her mat every single day and it has become a daily practice which continuously teaches her new things. She teaches an all levels vinyasa flow which can be geared towards beginner and experienced practitioners alike. She is qualified in yin, restorative, pranayama, meditation, and vinyasa flow. As well as teaching public classes she is also available for private instruction.

Laurel Erilane

Laurel Erilane grew up as a competitive athlete who constantly pushed her body to its limit. She first discovered yoga at age fifteen as an alternative therapy to sports when several injuries prevented her from playing with such intensity. She now recognizes yoga as a lifelong practice which has guided her to travel, live and teach internationally. Her yogic roots stem from the Mukti Yoga School, with a YA E-RYS 500 Hr certification completed in 2010. Laurel's teaching style emphasizes proper anatomical alignment through both classical and modern variations, incorporating the union of breath and fluid movement as a guided meditation. She believes that every time you step on to the mat is an opportunity to deepen your sense of self, and learn more about finding your own personal peace. As every day presents new challenges, we must first do the work on ourselves, in order to uplift others around us.

Hank Ostendorf

Yoga began for me as a fitness routine, but with time it has morphed into a physical, mental, and spiritual practice.  Whatever you happen to be looking for in yoga, whether it's a healthier body, a clearer mind, or a deeper sense of peace, I hope you'll be able to find it in my classes. My classes are appropriate for all levels of experience and expertise, and I remind you consistently to breathe through highs and lows, pleasure and discomfort, triumph and tribulation.  I don't use recorded music in my classes, but I'll sing to you and play guitar at the end of class to help you transition back into Los Angeles.

Janelle Stack

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Janelle grew up as a competitive swimmer from the age of 5 through college. Her interest in fitness continued when she moved to Washington, DC and started teaching various workout classes including spinning and boot camp. Once she moved to Santa Monica, CA in 2007, she became a competitive triathlete and crossfitter while working as a Human Resources manager at a corporate real estate company during the day. She craved the intensity of these workouts to offset the stress her job brought her. She had a wake up call in 2012 when she found herself with two herniated discs in her lower back where her doctor told her it was either back surgery or stop all the extreme workouts. It was through yoga that Janelle was able to avoid surgery and start to find a better connection with her mind and body. Bringing more attention to her breath, she began to learn how to find peace and a greater since of self. Since then she has completed over 500 hours of study from teachers including Annie Carpenter, Bianca Fearon, and Layna Dakin. Janelle's classes provide a good balance of strength and stretch with some really good music and fun mixed in!
